November 9th Health Department Update

Active Cases- 52
Recovered- 87
Hospitalization- 2
Death- 1
It is with sorrow, that Wabaunsee County has had their first COVID death.

The count for Wabaunsee County shows at 57 active cases, but a few haven't been recorded by the state yet.  

We have seen a big upswing in cases in the county in general.  The  middle portion of the county has seen the biggest swing in cases.

PLEASE take this seriously and use common sense as you get out and about.  

  • Social Distance as much as possible.
  • Wash you hands often.
  • Think MASK  if you are to be in crouds and unable to social distance.
  • Keep your gathering small and social distance.
  • Stay home and enjoy your families.

PLEASE be careful as you get out and into the public, especially as you go out of county.

Be safe, wear a mask or face covering and protect yourself, as well as the ones you love.

The Health Department due to COVID cases in the staff, is CLOSED to the public through November 20th.  We will then resume all services.

These numbers are not representative of the total number of individuals with COVID-19 in Wabaunsee County, KS. WABAUNSEE COUNTY HAS LOWERED ITS MASS GATHERING NUMBERS TO 45 EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 9, 2020.  
Wabaunsee County has a EVENT permit, that needs to be filled out with a health plan for COVID for any EVENT 45 or above. This permit app can be found on the Sheriff’s Webpage. Please fill it out and send or bring into the health dept.
And remember- if you feel ill, STAY HOME!
